Giant inflatables coming to outlet mall this weekend

Starting this weekend, the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawson County will get a little more colorful and a little more fun as "Bounce the Mall" will be set up with several types of interactive inflatables for the whole family.

According to a press release by event organizers, "Bounce the Mall" is produced by XL Event Lab and will make its premier in Dawsonville for three weekends this November.

"This immersive family attraction contains eight different interactive inflatables that are sure to put a bounce in your step," the release said.

"Bounce the Mall" is a traveling attraction that sets up at different malls across the country. This year will be its inaugural year at the North Georgia Premium Outlets, and the attraction will be set up for three weekends; Nov. 5-6, Nov. 12-13 and Nov. 19-20.

The event will include several types of inflatable attractions, including:

"Largest ball pit on the planet": This attraction combines bounce houses with a sea of plastic balls for guests to dive into. From inside the ball pit, guests can enjoy entertainment from a central stage, which hosts a team of live entertainers performing music and hosting different games.

"Headphone disco dome": The igloo-shaped inflatable structure includes live DJs with free wireless headphones that allow each guest to choose their own beat to rock out to in a silent disco.

"Sports slam": This attraction combines the most popular sports into one elite competition. The sports arena is full of goals, nets, hoops and balls of every size and type. There are also special zones for climbing and a "battle zone" where you can compete against friends and family to see who can stay on their podium the longest against a giant wrecking ball.

"Rapid race": This obstacle course is over 600 feet long and encourages friendly competition. It includes an assortment of hoops to jump through, walls to climb over, candy cane poles to weave through and a giant six-lane sneaker shaped slide at the finish line.

Additional interactive inflatables: There will be a birthday cake-themed moonwalk with giant presents, candles and ball pits; selfie stations with larger-than-life props and a little bouncer castle for the little ones.

The event will also include a "Bounce Cafe" with food trucks and a patio to sit back, relax and catch your breath.

"We’ve developed a series of incredible attractions that are visually stunning and highly interactive specifically for this project," XL Event Lab Co-Founder Cameron Craig said in the release. "From the largest ball pit on the planet to an inflatable silent disco dome, we’ve focused on making this event unique and hugely entertaining for every age. This is family-friendly entertainment unlike anything ever produced."

The event will be set up at the outlet mall in the parking lot near Brooks Brothers. All-access tickets for "Bounce the Mall" start at $23 for a 90-minute pass. Advance tickets are encouraged and can be bought online ahead of the event.
